Dani's Kaleidoscope Frame

Supplies you will need:

PSP 7 (download a demo here)

An image to frame

Flaming Pear Super Blade Pro (you can download a demo here, then install to your plug ins directory)

Preset for Super Blade Pro (I got this one from Dee's Blade Pro presets. She has a wonderful site full of great presets, which is definitely worth a visit!. I used d_brushedgold, which I found on the 1st page. After you download it, unzip to your environments folder)

Graphics Plus Filter (download here then install to your plug ins directory)

A corner ding (You can download the one I used here, or use one of your own.)

Have everything you need? Let's play!

1. Open your image, and set your background color to white.

2. Image-->Add Border-->Symmetric-->5. Select the border with your Magic Wand (tolerance 14, feather 0)

3. Effects-->Plug-ins-->Flaming Pear-->Super Blade Pro. Select d_brushedgold as your preset, and apply. Do not deselect.

4. Effects-->3D Effects-->Drop Shadow. Set your Vertical & Horizontal to 3, Opacity to 90, and blur to 13.6. Apply. Repeat the Drop Shadow, changing your Vertical & Horizontal to minus (-) 3. Apply. Select None.

5. Image-->Add Border-->Symmetric-->10. Select the border with your Magic Wand (same settings as before).

6. Effects-->Reflection Effects-->Kaleidoscope. These are the settings I used, but feel free to play with them to get an effect you like. Select None.

7. Image-->Add Border-->Symmetric-->5. Select the border with your Magic Wand.

8. Effects-->Plug-ins-->Flaming Pear-->Super Blade Pro. Select d_brushedgold as your preset, and apply. Select None.

9. Select a lighter color from your image and set it as your background color. (I used #C17270) Image-->Add Border-->Symmetric-->15. Select the border with your Magic Wand.

10. Effects-->Plug-ins-->Graphics Plus-->CrossShadow. Here are the settings I used, but go ahead and play with them to see if you get an effect you like better *S*. Select None.

11. Image-->Add Border-->Symmetric-->5. Select the border with your Magic Wand.

12. Effects-->Plug-ins-->Flaming Pear-->Super Blade Pro. Select d_brushedgold as your preset, and apply. Select None.

13. Image-->Add Border-->Symmetric-->20. Select the border with your Magic Wand.

14. Effects-->Reflection Effects-->Kaleidoscope. I changed my settings just a bit this time. (Experiment! Have some fun! *S*)

15. Effects-->3D Effects-->Inner Bevel. I used these settings

16. Open the corner.psp file you downloaded, or the corner ding of your choice. (If you are using your own corner, you may want to apply the same d_brushedgold Super Blade Pro preset we've been using. If you're using the one I supplied, it already has this effect added.)

17. Copy corner.psp, and paste into your image as a new layer. Place it anywhere in the corner you like.

18. Once you have it where you want it, go to Layers-->Duplicate, then Image--> Mirror. Next, go to Layers-->Duplicate, then Image-->Flip. Now, Layers-->Duplicate, then Image - Mirror.

19. Merge your layers, and that's it! You're all done *S*
